Steven Carlson
Senior Pastor
Pastor Steven Carlson accepted the call to pastor Peace Free Lutheran Church on All Saints’ Day, November 1, 2023. He grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, where he also raised sheep. Pastor Carlson is a graduate of the Association Free Lutheran Bible School, the University of Wisconsin–Superior, and the Free Lutheran Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing doctoral work at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA.
Previously, he served on the ministry staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the Christian Medical & Dental Society. Throughout his over thirty years in ministry, he has pastored churches in both Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
He and his wife, Jen, have been happily married for over thirty years and are blessed with three children. They also have significant experience in special needs ministry. As a family, they enjoy reading, walking, traveling, and exploring God’s creation.
Pastor Carlson loves preaching and teaching God’s Word and feels called to be a faithful shepherd of souls.
